I was thinking the exact same thing. Back in the day "key signing parties" were meant to create webs of trust based on chains of "I verify this person is has X key"... We're just trying to verify that...

i understand and i think it's needed. nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn wanted to solve this like 2 years ago. perhaps he can ask his favorite AI tool to work on this problem for us.

shouldn't current follows be that by default? and the actual follow list should maybe just stay private and encrypted to the user? because why would an actual follow list be public by default when its just who an user wants to see posts from

maybe silly but why not just use "petname" in kind:3 (already in nip02) so we can see Vitor is following a pubkey and calls him "my brother"
