🇪🇨⚡ In one of Quito’s poorest neighbourhoods, PADE (Para dar esperanza, meaning “to give hope”) runs an after-school centre where kids come after class instead of being on the streets: they get homework support, a safe place to just be children, and for many it’s the only warm meal of their day. Beyond food and schoolwork, the children get emotional support, creative workshops and time with teachers and a psychologist. Parents are included in trainings so home becomes safer and more stable too. A small local team has been there for more than ten years and knows the families by name.
