Too noisy the content is losing its value, there is the dupermine effect of likes, added with this, it compounds, so in a twitter client where normies are supposed to spend a lot of time browsing thro...
I used to think the same, but:
1. In chat apps this is not a problem and that's where I spent most of my time
2. It is not my goal to make the user spend a lot of time in here
3. The goal is filtering for high signal, both with the filter the user selects (DVM & other) and with the UI displaying more then just counts that all look the same.
