I am glad this finally gets the attention it deserves, but really OGs were talking about the vacuum and the hostile capture right when it happened (and of course as an attack vector before it).
It's just that one side is better in duping new comers and by using lies and scare tactics they always had an strategic advantage over honest people in the space.
