I think we're largely in agreement.
I feel strongly that it needs to be a choice for the individual & I'm sick of the broken incentives.
I don't like communism because it feels so controlling & that...
You are a good one.
Lots of truth in your words.
Marxism is the only political philosophy on earth that has mobilized peasants against the threats of global neolibral capitalist imperialism.
So the ones who "opt out" of communism are landlords and nationalists. Supremacists and Fascists. Schemers and spies.
Otherwise, striving for a moneyless, classless, and Stateless society is a net good for everybody else. A society that condemns the hoarding and exploitation of resources and influence. One that lives up to the stories we tell about resisting tyranny and supporting the armed liberation of all oppressed peoples so that they can take control of their own destiny.
We want to break chains and inspire the community so they can achieve the highest form of their potential without the physical need to sell something or themselves as a commodity.
That is the only way to be truly free.
The only controlling thing about communism is the redirection of incentives from profits to people. Controlling resources, no different than capitalism does, but to benefit people and the Earth. Not investors.
It is the political alignment of not being an asshole and sharing. Which does not mean self sacrifice. Generosity means being open to the giving nature of the rest of the world.
I can recommend compelling literature if you want to escalate from curiosity to practicing theory.
"The last decree of a perfect communist doctrine would be to abolish itself "
