Somehow embedding prayers in the blockchain is ok, but storing trivial amount of state for a side chain is a shitcoin? Or is your complaint that the side chain comes with a white paper that is too long? Or that it’s an unwise EVM? Or that it uses BTC instead of a shitcoin token?

I don’t believe people are thinking their criticisms through very well. Side chains are the proper place for this. Even if I think evm side chains are dumb, that doesn’t make citrea a shitcoin.
