It’s surprisingly easy to use a Coldcard direct with core.

sendrawtransaction

No need for HWI or a wallet app, just passing data via the SD card. Feels very self sufficient.

Coldcard it’s been my go to for years but it keeps getting better and allows me to explore new things.
