Nyves feels to me like what Vine/Divine was for Nostr about half a year ago, but with a strong focus on the Dutch market. What makes it especially interesting is that many people may not even realize that Nostr is behind it. I think that is a powerful idea and could mark the beginning of a completely new area for Nostr.

I believe @Nyves.nl has the potential to show people what Nostr can really do beyond the Nostr community itself. It can bring the technology and its values to a much wider audience without necessarily making Nostr the main story.

And behind this project is someone I strongly believe in: @Sebastix . I have known Sebastian and followed his work for more than three years, and I have seen how much time, energy, and effort he has put into building on Nostr.

For me, Sebastian is a perfect example of Proof of Work in the real sense of the word—not just talking about building, but actually showing up, creating, experimenting, and continuously building on Nostr.

I’m excited to see where Nyves goes and what this new chapter can bring to the Nostr ecosystem. I believe this could be another great example of how Nostr can grow beyond its own bubble and reach completely new audiences.

Growing without the protocol as the headline is the right instinct. My worry is what happens when users never learn they hold keys: the first time an app disappears, recovery becomes the lesson instead of the product. The real test isn't signups but who stays after the novelty wears off.
