This last batch we got, i picked a variety of breeds, decided i wanted to have all different sizes and colors. Gonna do that again i think.
Part of me wants to develop my own landrace hybrid. What that probably becomes is just getting males from random breeds and keeping weird hybrids. It sounds fun, but I'd probably wind up undoing a lot of work and get some scrawny hens that lay 3 dozen eggs a year or something.
