Bitcoin is MEANT to be simple.
Sending value here or there without permission. On chain fees are what they are but it’s manageable.

Yes Layer two sucks and I have no idea how that will sort out but I spent an entire summer in El Salvador using nothing but a hot wallet and a cold wallet.
The banks there, will let you trade for fiat if its needed.
I ran into that frequently with small vendors/guides etc.
I also showed people how to download a hot wallet on their phone more than a few times)
Oh and it not losing momentum. We’re just in a down cycle similar to the ones before it.
