I think this was a stupid idea ๐ having to measure most of history backwards like time itself stopped and started over. They didn't call it year 1 BCE during the year 1 BCE. I wanna know what the REAL number was that humans have been counting since they started counting. Because the real year for everything is unimaginable as it's probably just always been, but the real year for humanity should at least begin at the end of the last cataclysm that destroyed the last advanced civilization hundreds of thousands of years ago. The real year for humanity would be somewhere in the 300k range, but I suppose having to write out a long ass number in the limited space they give us on paperwork for the date would be annoying
