Have we come to a dead end in self custody?
BitKey finally added a screen. Ooooo.
MK5 moved the USB port & made the screen bigger. Big whoop.

Still a 2-of-3 multisig where you cannot export your keys. No unilateral exit. The "emergency exit kit" is theater. NVK put it best: "It's just not the right vehicle for self-custody."

NVK admits it on Stephan Livera's podcast: "It was time to refresh the line. Nice screen. Better keyboard. Moved the USB to the bottom. Improved NFC."
WTF, that's not innovation, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
Bitcoin deserves better than slightly bigger screens and repositioned USB ports.
Where is the next real breakthrough? Or has it been decided this is as good as it gets?
