Well planned obsolescence is not like they plan it for X years after which the product breaks...they add shitty parts as a normal thing and then when the products do not work, or do not work well, people are inclined to buy new ones. And ye sis 10 years but I didnt use this telescope nowhere near as much as most people probably would...

In any case is an absolute terrible design.
