kate bush is pretty good tbh. running up that hill is just a fire song. i prefer the placebo cover it of to the original but regardless she is extremely talented
yeah i like her music as well; she is just particularly popular with the semi-sentient versions of the quirky/alt girls nowadays, it's a grade up from paramore, korn, type o negative etc. in the music circles if the listener is a female.
since women tend to wear their "interests" (particularly their taste in film, music and literature) like jewellery, it's a cultural phenomena that i have observed; probably too niche to actually be understood unless you are also addicted to emo whores. it's all deliberately chosen for the male gaze, and this combination is particularly common within the 100-120 iq range.
