@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... Even worse than CVS in some regards, since CVS at least had branches and tags, even if they were poorly implemented, especially regards to atomicity. Branches in CVS also needed manual work in terms of explicitly tagging branch points before branching, but that should have been an easy automation to add.

Svn is basically just a general filesystem that stores every version and makes copies cheap. A system for maybe building proper version control on top of, but nothing more.
