At the Barbican tonight, Bach's St. Matthew Passion led by Jonathan Cohen with Archangelo, an incredible three-hour journey. Carolyn Sampson , soprano, and Hugh Cutting, countertenor, were absolutely standout. A night of talent and timeless music.
