I enjoy @SimpleX Chat very much and look forward to their commercialization and, hopefully, strengthening. Looks promising so far, IMO.

Notably, they've split the structure into an __open protocol__ governed by the non-profit SimpleX Network Foundation (board includes Heather Meeker, Matt @ODELL , Tadeas Kmenta, and Evgeny) and a __commercial entity (SimpleX Chat Ltd) that handles development and business services, aiming for a sustainable ecosystem without locking down the protocol__.
