On the subject of The Discourse, it does seem like a very minor change to wording around the same principles as before. I don't think that any of the already merged PRs would've been rejected under these changes either, which makes the whole thing moot.

Would love to see that introspection though.

And, well, there is this aftertaste of trying to be as apolitical as possible, focusing only on the angle of protecting maintainers and nothing else. To be clear, that's a valid angle, but far from the only angle to view AI-assisted contributions from. So overall: eh.
