i hate the spam, but do not think we can stop it, bitcoin will be fine, nodes will be a bit more expensive to run

node operators should have more options regardless, opensats has been focused on this concern for years, i have donated significant time on that front

It’s not about the spam. IMHO, Bitcoin Core were too dominant, too close to the code and became corrupted. They went against consensus for no good reason. Next time, while many nodes may not paying attention, they could unilaterally push another code change that would reduce #bitcoin immutability ...
