I understand the logic of this decision and I think it’s a mistake.
In particular Green supporters in the constituency are going to feel very let down, almost as though they are being pressured to vote for Reform Lite.
From my perspective a Burnham government will be only slightly less bad than Starmer - less tone deaf but still committed to the same growth agenda with the same damage to the planet.
