Yes the having trouble giving up agency is familiar. I have siblings but they are not capable of helping for various reasons and my parents know this. I’m already the executor of their estates but I will have to get power of attorney now while they are still living. Thank you for your thoughtful response. 🫂

PoA is definitely something that's difficult but if you think things are getting that far, it's probably worth seeing how open they are to that. In my experience they can be really defensive of PoA, they see it as the end of their agency. If they're willing to do it, worth getting that done I think....
