My take?
There was no bull market this year.
So it’s not destiny that there will be a bear market next year.

We're up almost 100% on the 12 month chart. We certianly are in a bull market. Market cycles are strong. There's always reason to beleive "this time will be different." And it always is, but the trends remain.
