I believe in the pursuit of spirituality. That there are higher powers governing reality, and that timeless wisdom and truth can be found within the Holy Scriptures. However, I have often found that many who engage in religion treat the act of worship itself—song, ritual, and ceremony as a substitute for virtuous living. It is this confusion between devotion and practice that has caused me to distance myself from organized religion.
