Some of the most true to form interesting Pinots are made in burgundy. France especially in burgundy value the lands and what it can do with minimal intervention. Most new world Pinots are unmistakably new world for many reasons but mostly because they come from relatively hot climates and are over ripe. Burgundy has a deeper more acidic flavor and is more complex generally.
