Does anyone else think that bombing the hell out of a country and then trying to cripple it economically for not having nuclear weapons just makes that country want nuclear weapons even more?

Not sure about the nuclear weapons, however I think it just sets you up for more hatred by that country and others around the world.
The US has become the equivalent of the USSR in many ways.
