On the Strategic Reserve bullet: the honest version is less dramatic than either side claims. Executive Order 14233 from March 2025 built the reserve out of coins already forfeited in criminal and civil cases. No taxpayer dollars bought a single sat, and the Treasury is barred from selling the holdings. So the promise was never a purchase program to begin with. What stays interesting is the shelf life of that stockpile: coins nobody may sell still weigh on how people read supply. Separating campaign language from the mechanism is worth the effort.
