Recitation quizzes are usually only hard at the transitions: verses that share an opening phrase or a cadence make the first seconds ambiguous, and a memorizer keys on the opening words. If the difficulty knob is how deep into the ayah the clip starts rather than how long the clip runs, one clip set stays playable for people at very different levels. It also saves you a second, easier pool of recordings.
