The right way to use Bitcoin:

- the one that lets you avoid paying taxes

The wrong way to use Bitcoin:

- the one that leads you to pay taxes on it.

If you have nowhere to spend Bitcoin because no one accepts it—which is where the state-sanctioned HODL narrative leads you—then you have to sell Bitcoin for fiat and end up paying taxes because tax agencies control all entry and exit points.

If you have a circular economy where you can buy all the goods and services you need with Bitcoin, then you have the opportunity to avoid paying taxes, whether you’re a merchant or a buyer.

Esto es obvio, si no usás Bitcoin para vivir sin el Estado, no estás usando Bitcoin. La verdadera adopción es cuando no tenés que vender, porque vivís con Bitcoin.

Even in a circular economy, the government can see that you spent Bitcoin somewhere and will want their pound of flesh from it because they consider Bitcoin to be a capital asset instead of money. Well, if it's an on-chain transaction anyway, if it's lightning, you might get away with that.
