Bottom line for me is I think this rookie mistake with a #define statement should have been found in a code review before the code was shipped, so I simply won’t trust Coinkite again and my Coldcard is now a decorative momento of this horrific period in Bitcoin.

Someone reported that the new firmware worked ok the first few times before bricking their MK4 as they were creating new wallets. I can’t confirm if that is true though.

Also saw Luke claiming the new firmware still had problems - can’t confirm that either.
