The indigenous women of La Sierra Nevada, Colombia, Los Kogui’s, Arhuacos, Wiwas & Kankuamos, are master weavers. Deeply embedded in the culture and tradition is the art of weaving, weaving mochillas (bags), but way deeper than that, weaving life together! There is deep ancestral wisdom in the process of weaving! And an unbelievable example of Proof of Work, and time and energy captured and stored into the future! It’s incredible to watch these women weave as they go about their day to day, they do not stop, they are constantly in the process of creation! There is so much beauty embedded in any weaved item!
