Proudhon reverses a familiar assumption: order does not produce freedom—freedom produces order. When individuals are allowed to coordinate voluntarily, structure emerges organically rather than being imposed from above. Bitcoin follows this same architecture. Its rules are fixed, but participation is voluntary; its network is ordered, but no one commands it. The result is a system where discipline arises from incentives and verification, not decree.
