Good point. Fips solves is the centralization problem. For anonymity - Tor is actually a native transport in FIPS. I‘m going to try this with my fips mail. (There's even a Nym (mixnet) transport - if you want traffic-analysis resistance on top. https://github.com/jmcorgan/fips )
