The book of Revaluation is symbolic in it's imagery. There are varying descriptions throughout the Bible of being cast out of the kingdom of heaven. This particular verse probably shouldn't be taken literally. But whatever it looks like, not being accepted back into God's presence is certainly not a desirable outcome for all eternity. It's important to differentiate between those who hear the Word and choose to ignore it, and those who never get the chance to hear it. The Bible hints that the latter will get a second chance when Christ returns to Earth for a thousand year reign.

I have no issue with it being taken literally, but that wasn't my point. My point was what's the basis for saying God's judgment is eternal is sick?
