Logical although I originally also suspected the US since both of them have a lot to gain.
Russia would have never blown up their own infra when they could just turn it off and use turning it back on was a bargening chip. Someone wanted to remove that bargening chip.
In the US case it makes us more dependent on US gas and helps fuel the war which they profit a lot from.
