I can count my true friends on one hand most ‘friends’ are simply passing through..both parties move along eventually

Sadly, we are all prone to envy. I thinks it’s part of our fallen nature. But there is freedom in self-forgetfulness enabled by a love of God and others.

A bit of a primadona post from you Odell. Friendship only really holds up when incentives are aligned. What were you expecting? For something deeper than that you need family. (And even then...)

My now ex wife was jealous of my success even though she gained from it more than I did.

That’s why you need to keep a small circle and with like minded people that have their own thing going on

Seen it all before. Envy is a shame. You would hope they could be happy for you.

Then they never were real friends of yours.
