@nprofile1q... Last weekend a (v. young) friend of mine texted in a panic. They got covid once early in the pandemic & developed a serious heart problem. They woke up in pain & were debating whether to call an ambulance. (If they go to hospital prematurely, they're turned away + billed so it's a big choice.)

They ultimately called, ambo arrived quickly, they got timely car.

No better news to me than that they're still alive. (It wasn't a given.)
