I’m increasingly convinced the most plausible explanation for #Satoshi Nakamoto is the one nobody in the media is willing to seriously investigate:

Satoshi was an extraterrestrial.

Consider the evidence.

First, Satoshi appears almost from nowhere in 2008 with a functioning proposal for decentralized digital scarcity that elegantly combines proof-of-work, public-key cryptography, distributed consensus, economic incentives, and difficulty adjustment. Then, after getting the network running and handing things off to humans, he disappears.

That is not the normal career trajectory of a software engineer.

Second, despite more than a decade of journalists, governments, intelligence agencies, blockchain analysts, amateur detectives, and extremely motivated weirdos trying to identify him, nobody has produced conclusive proof of who Satoshi was.

We have IP addresses. Writing-style analysis. Coding habits. Time-zone speculation. Mailing-list archives. Candidates. Counter-candidates. Lawsuits. Books. Documentaries.

And yet somehow the creator of a trillion-dollar monetary network remains unidentified.

Perhaps investigators keep failing because they’re searching the wrong planet.

Third: the timing.

#Bitcoin arrived immediately after the 2008 financial crisis, at precisely the moment humanity had once again demonstrated that its monetary institutions could be operated with all the foresight of raccoons fighting over a dumpster.

Imagine an advanced civilization monitoring Earth.

“Sir, the humans have leveraged the housing market again.”

“How bad is it?”

“They invented mortgage-backed securities.”

“My God. Send them the decentralized money protocol.”

Fourth, Satoshi’s coins have largely remained untouched.

People have proposed every conceivable explanation for why someone sitting on an enormous early Bitcoin fortune wouldn’t spend it.

Lost keys. Death. Ideological commitment. Operational security.

All reasonable theories.

But everyone overlooks the obvious possibility:

Bitcoin has no purchasing power on Zeta Reticuli.

Fifth, look at the Bitcoin protocol itself.

A fixed 21 million supply.

Automatic difficulty adjustment.

No central administrator.

No requirement to trust governments, corporations, banks, or individual humans.

Does that sound like a system designed by somebody with extensive experience observing human institutions?

Exactly.

Some argue Satoshi’s use of British spellings proves he was British.

Others analyze his posting schedule to determine his time zone.

This is laughably anthropocentric.

For all we know, the approximately ten-minute block interval corresponds to one standard unit of time on his home planet.

And finally, the strongest evidence of all:

Satoshi created Bitcoin, watched humans argue about block sizes for several years, and immediately stopped communicating with us.

If intelligent extraterrestrial life ever made first contact with humanity, this is approximately how I would expect it to end.

Until somebody produces cryptographically verifiable evidence of Satoshi Nakamoto’s terrestrial identity, I believe intellectual honesty requires us to keep the extraterrestrial hypothesis on the table.

The burden of proof is now on the Earth-Satoshi theorists.

Sounds like a cool conspiracy theory. A buddy of mine has a group for that if you would like https://vectorapp.io/invite/naddr1qqqqyg920unyugugyysehseguwyalez835vn036c6fgd8h3532nh5t5clgpsgqqqsg2sxhlqdl#BAADAQIAGG5vc3RyLmNvbXB1dGluZ2NhY2hlLmNvbaMJHby3jrkp4sKRHehZMsg

yeah this makes more sense than the billionaire who has been promoting Bitcoin for years though his various companies 🤣
