People DON'T decide to use something or not simply on the axis of It's complexity and whether they think it might have hidden exploits.
Maybe it should play a *larger factor into their decision,
(Like if you want to be intellectually consistent, you should also avoid lightning completely)
But they decide to use something or not largely on whether it solves a problem that they have.
If that problem is "where do I store my life savings?" I can understand why you would choose something else besides Monero.
