Volkswagen blocked their app on GrapheneOS, LineageOS, and other custom ROMs.
They claim it's for "security" because the app now relies on Google's Play Integrity API and certified Android standards....
Probably just lazy devs. They assume Google protection is good and they also want to support older devices the same way some companies want to support internet explorer.
They just never put two and two together, they think having support for this extra variant of "modern os without google security" is just yet another build to support and they give a bullshit excuse for not supporting it.
