End users have discovered the power of integration, they want everything apps, a leap towards the original computing model, the OS add as a single, easy to mold environment, where anything is integrated and accessible. Emacs is the best living vestige and example.

Single purpose apps, not integrated with anything are commercially interesting, but not what users want but what tech needs mandate. Having copy/paste and drag&drop as sole IPCs is not tolerable anymore.
