Plato’s 4x wealth cap is an intriguing thought experiment, but modern inequality is more systemic—oligarchies emerge from weak institutions, not just raw disparity. I was just reading about how crypto in the Middle East exposes this: elites co-opt new wealth tools while the poor lack access.
