@vitalis They take getting used to but can significantly reduce severe wrecks (no more 90 degree t-bones) and can save alot on utility costs for cities.
I can't remember where, but one US city bit the bullet and converted every intersection to roundabouts. Had a year of more frequent wrecks as everyone adjusted and now its one of the safer cities to drive in has almost no traffic lights anywhere.
