Agreed on a lot of points. But I will say that it is arguable that the political alternative wins elections. For every massie that wins an election, there are at least 5 mitch mcconnels. We are in a superior position with our own natural resources and being the reserve currency, sure. And these things put us ahead of all other countries in some ways. But basically the whole planet has tied itself to the same dying horse. Even "winning" relative to all other countries could equal collapse.
