That sounds like the doctor was not very in-the-know what comes to N1,N2, or IH. For one, IH isn't just a "daytime" issue, it is its own disorder when diagnosed correctly, and there are treartments these days that help with the symptoms. Like stimulants, or Xywav (latter is only true medication made for IH).

Some doctors really suck and ignore how sleep disorders fluctuate and can get better when we aren't pushing ourselves constantly. That happened to me too. :/
