At Taitung Fengnian Airport — the only airport in Taiwan with a public piano — you may hear Wu Kun-Ying (吳坤穎) playing. In 2013 a car crash left him in a coma 1+ month, multiple brain surgeries, permanent left-side impairment. He rebuilt his life through the piano — it became his rehab and reason to live. Now a volunteer pianist there, he reads his audience: Western standards for foreigners, "Little Apple" for kids, classic Taiwanese ballads for elders. A real story of resilience from 台東.
