Steve wouldn't have made it past COVID... If the virus didn't get him, the quack "cures" he undoubtedly would have been pushing, and the hard-Right shift he would have almost certainly embraced in the late 2010s would have destroyed all of his credibility.

I don't think many of these "heroes" of the early digital age would have survived late-2010's social media.
