probably what i'm after is that this idea that "you don't have to think about price you just buy" is total bullshit..
It's not total bullshit, but I agree you can be smarter about it. A good thermometer is sentiment, meaning stop buying when everyone is talking about it going to moon and double down on your buys when everyone is saying bitcoin is dead. It's a more hands on approach but returns are better I guess.
