🏛️ Institutional repositories play a vital role in research dissemination. They preserve scholarly work, support open access and help bring knowledge to audiences beyond academia: from policymakers and businesses to practitioners and the public.

It is encouraging to see research published in The Journal of The British Blockchain Association (JBBA) available through the University of Johannesburg’s Institutional Repository.

▶️ One such paper, by Edzai Kademeteme (Ph.D IS) and Stella Bvuma explores how blockchain could improve integrity and transparency in procurement between small, medium and micro-enterprises (#SMEs) and #government.

Their systematic literature review examines 12 articles, identifying themes including contract handling, data security, transaction processing and access to critical information. It provides a foundation for investigating how blockchain might support more transparent and accountable public procurement.
