I've found that in nearly every case where I can be mad at something, it's also societally acceptable to laugh.

However, if it's a subconcious coping mechanism, and frequently results in a misinterpretation of ridicule, I could see how some re-programming might be beneficial.

If it is a subconscious response, it is probably a defensive measure that started early in life. If it's just you choosing to not be angry, the receiving party can stuff it!
