Nostr should have also supported plain HTTP from the get go.

Websockets are unreliable under some conditions, and polling works just fine for a ton of usecases - and have more tooling making it even more accessible to newbs.

Big mistake. Probably not too late to add it though.

This is most likely a cope, get gud, websockets IS http, etc. Nostr needs millisecond timestamps.

It's already added because there are mutliple clients using it. That's how I get the e-paper stuff to work. They can't deal with websockets.

Nostr should have supported TCP sockets from the get go actually. But I prefer websockets over http.

Http is synchronous and stateless. Nostr is asynchronous and stateful.
